Peter Dudek: onsite installation

Peter Dudek is an internationally known artist and curator who teaches sculpture at the School of Visual Arts and Hunter College in New York City. He is also the director of the Storefront Artist Project in Pittsfield, Massachusetts (www.storefrontartist.org), and the founder of Archicule (www.archicule.com.). Dudek’s assemblages, including “New Monuments to my Lovelife,” his recent site-specific installation at Smack Mellon, Brooklyn, New York, consist of found materials and fabricated objects that he continually rearranges throughout the course of an exhibition. Other solo projects include Studio Facchetti, Brooklyn, New York, and Bravin Post Lee Gallery, New York. Dudek has curated Dead-Fit Beauty, Architecture! Architecture! Architecture!, Photasm, American Sandwich, T-Zone, and Nature More. Residencies and awards include: Marie Walsh Sharpe Art Foundation Fellowship and Centrum Rzezby Polskiej Residency, Oronsko, Poland.
